Recently, we have received news that the platform is conducting tests on yet another widget designed for seamless interaction with Meta AI.
This update was highlighted by WABetaInfo, which revealed its findings regarding this latest widget in the beta release version 2.25.6.14 of WhatsApp for Android users. The fresh widget boasts three convenient shortcuts: one that directly opens a chat with Meta AI, another to swiftly share images with the AI assistant, and a third dedicated to initiating voice interactions with Meta AI. Additionally, users can customize the size of this new widget according to their personal preferences, ensuring it fits perfectly on their device’s home screen.
The availability of this innovative widget is currently reserved for beta testers who are using the latest iteration of WhatsApp on Android devices. However, it’s crucial to note that access to Meta AI itself remains geographically limited; if you reside in a region where this feature has yet to be launched officially, you will not have visibility into the new widget even if you are part of beta testing.
