When io9 interviewed Danny and Michael Philippou—the siblings behind Talk to Me, the summer season’s scariest film—they described the “mythology bible” they assembled to hold monitor of the story’s many creepy spirits. He went on to not-so-subtly counsel they’d be greater than prepared to make a sequel if the chance presents itself, practically repeating what he mentioned to io9, which was: “Even while writing the first film, I was writing scenes for the second film; it’s exciting to feel like there’s a bigger world and more story to tell, which there is. So if someone were to give us funding for a second film, I would jump on that. I’d love that so much. It would be amazing.” (The brothers, who’re connected to a Street Fighter film, even have extra authentic concepts within the financial institution; as Danny added to THR, “We do have another horror script called Bring Her Back that I’d love to make next.”)
With the film already successful—and a last scene that completely leaves the door open for extra freaky adventures with that excellently harmful hand—right here’s hoping we get an replace on that Talk to Me sequel quickly. And the “prequel” sounds prefer it’d make a nifty particular characteristic as soon as Talk to Me will get its residence launch. For now, it’s nonetheless poised to scare you foolish in theaters.
