Partnership Announcement: VinFast Collaborates with Motech for EV Services in the Philippines
VinFast Philippines has teamed up with Motech Automotive Service Center by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at developing a dedicated service network for VinFast’s electric vehicles. This partnership underscores the Vietnamese automaker’s ambition to promote sustainable transport options in the region—not only catering to private consumers but also gearing up for the forthcoming green taxi initiative.
Strategic Network Expansion
According to insiders at VinFast Philippines, Motech was selected due to its extensive presence across the country—boasting an impressive total of 63 service centers from Tuguegarao in northern Luzon down through Metro Manila and as far south as Bicol. Additionally, they have established outlets in key cities throughout the Visayas and multiple locations within Mindanao. This collaboration aligns perfectly with VinFast’s objective of launching over 100 service facilities nationwide.
Comprehensive Support Services
The newly established centers will offer an array of services including repairs and maintenance tailored specifically for VinFast electric vehicles. Sources indicate that existing Motech facilities will undergo enhancements to meet stringent compliance regarding layout, equipment standards, personnel training processes, and authentic parts availability as mandated by VinFast. To ensure smooth integration into Motech’s operational framework—a pivotal move considering anticipated growth rates in EV adoption—VinFast plans to provide specialized training and technical support.
