Recent speculation suggests that the Apple Vision Pro headset is poised to receive Apple Intelligence capabilities in an anticipated software update, accompanied by the introduction of a new spatial media application.
Since its debut in February 2024, the Apple Vision Pro has seen limited native applications and content releases over the past year. Although Apple Intelligence was announced later in 2024, it has yet to be implemented on this headset; however, that may soon change.
Sources from Bloomberg indicate that features of Apple Intelligence—including tools like Genmoji, creative writing aids, and an Image Playground—are expected to be integrated into the $3,500 device. This would significantly enhance its functionality beyond what is currently available on other recent devices such as Macs, iPads, and iPhones. If these reports are accurate, it could greatly enrich the overall feature set available for users of the Apple Vision Pro.
New App for Spatial Content Delivery
Additionally, there is mention of a possible new application dedicated to providing enhanced spatial content experiences for users of the Apple Vision Pro. This app may function as a specialized marketplace or hub featuring curated spatial videos and applications created by both Apple and third-party developers.
Currently available third-party applications already offer collections of user-generated content or archives filled with 3D and virtual reality (VR) videos tailored for individuals using the Apple Vision Pro.
