NIO has marked an impressive 62.2% increase in vehicle sales from February 2024 to February 2025, achieving a total of 13,192 deliveries compared to the previous year’s 8,132. This growth can be attributed partially to the recent introduction of a new brand under its umbrella.

Within these figures, the core NIO brand accounted for 9,143 sales—showing slight improvement over the same month last year—while its new offering, ONVO, contributed significantly by recording 4,049 sales after having no prior activity this time last year. This brings NIO’s total deliveries since inception to an impressive cumulative count of 698,619 by the end of February.
Forecasting Future Growth
If we project the recent monthly achievements across a full year based on these numbers alone, NIO could reach an annual sales rate approaching approximately 158,304 vehicles. However, it is essential to consider that February traditionally experiences slower activity within China’s automotive market; thus much higher figures can be anticipated as trends normalize throughout the rest of the year.
Battery Swapping: A Key Service Highlighted
In line with highlighting operational excellence during busy periods such as Chinese New Year (January 22 – February 5), NIO reported exceeding 1.7 million battery swaps during this stretch! Certain stations handled up to 180 swaps per day, showcasing both high customer usage and operational capacity.
The company’s statistics reveal that “over 80%” of energy retrieval on highways was facilitated through their battery swap system. Additionally, more than 21,000 flexible battery upgrades were provided during this period—evidently enhancing user experience for long-distance travel encounters.
