The Red Magic 10 Pro started its global rollout last month. You can find it on Amazon with a €40 voucher. The phone has a perfectly rectangular 6.85” display (with an under-display camera), a 1216p+ panel with 144Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is actively cooled by the built-in fan and there are two pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons – yes, this is a gaming phone. It has two 50MP cameras on the back (wide and ultra-wide). Inside is a massive 7,050mAh battery with 100W charging.

The Realme GT 6T is a mid-ranger with a high-quality display, a 6.78” LTPO panel with 1264p+ resolution, 10-bit colors and 120Hz refresh rate. The brightness boosts to an impressive 6,000 nits peak. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, which gives the older 8 Gen 2 a run for its money. The 5,500mAh battery is larger and faster than most with 120W wired charging. The camera is nothing special at 50+8MP and the dust and water resistance rating is only IP65.

The Poco F6 has the near-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which is a bit faster than the 7+ Gen 3. The phone has a 1220p+ display with 12-bit colors and Dolby Vision. The refresh rate is 120Hz, but this isn’t an LTPO panel. The phone runs on a 5,000mAh battery with 90W charging. Once again, the camera takes a step back with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP64.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 is in the same price range. It is powered by the Exynos 1480 with AMD graphics and has a 6.6” 120Hz display (1080p+). This one has a better water resistance rating than the models above (IP67), but the 5,000mAh battery does only 25W over USB-C. Storage is expandable via microSD. The camera features a 50MP sensor (1/1.56”, while the two previous models had smaller 1/1.95” sensors) and a higher resolution 12MP main.

The Nothing Phone (2a) recently got the Android 15 update. It is powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired-only charging. The 6.7” 1080p+ OLED display has 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors. Unlike most phones on this list, the (2a) has a serious ultra-wide camera with a 50MP sensor to go with its 50MP main (1/1.56”).

A cheaper model from this family is the CMF Phone 1. Its 6.67” 1080p+ display (120Hz) and Dimensity 7300 chipset allow it to punch above its weight. The replaceable back covers add some customization options (the 5,000mAh battery is not replaceable, though). The phone has a 50MP main camera and lacks an ultra-wide.

Alternatively, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G promises an impressive 6 years of software support. The Exynos 1330 isn’t the fastest chipset now and it might struggle with performance six years from now. While it’s cheap, the A16 does have an ultra-wide camera (5MP) in addition to the 50MP main. Like on the CMF phone, there is a microSD slot. This model even has an official dust and water resistance rating (IP54), which some makers choose to skip in this segment.
