Recently, Safety Korea has confirmed specifications for its upcoming successor, which is set to be named “Samsung Galaxy XCover8 Pro.” Accompanying this announcement was an image and additional details about its battery.
Battery Specifications: Powering Performance
The new battery, designated EB-BG766GBY, boasts a rated capacity of 4,265mAh and a typical capacity of 4,350mAh—totaling approximately 16.88Wh. In contrast, the current XCover7 is equipped with a smaller battery offering 4,050mAh (with a typical capacity of 15.59Wh). A Long-awaited Model in the Series
Since the launch of the previous model in this series in late 2022—the last to wear the ‘XCover Pro’ name—there has been keen anticipation surrounding its successor. The previous iteration offered several notable enhancements such as a fluid 120Hz display refresh rate, an ultrawide camera lens for diverse photography options, superior selfie capabilities along with fingerprint recognition technology compared to what was available on the standard XCover7 model. Expectations are high for similar or even greater advancements in features within the upcoming Xbox Cover8 Pro.
When Will We See Its Launch?
The official release date for the Samsung Galaxy XCover8 Pro remains unannounced yet speculations are running high based on historical launches; we saw the availability of both previous models—the GFP-6Pro arriving in June 2022 followed closely by GFP-7 roll-out slated for January 2024. An educated prediction indicates that we might expect an official unveiling during early to mid-2025.
