Samsung Introduces the Galaxy S25 Series and Project Moohan at Galaxy Unpacked
During its recent Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung introduced the new lineup of Galaxy S25 smartphones and provided a sneak peek at the anticipated Galaxy S25 Slim Edge. The spotlight also shone on Samsung’s innovative extended reality (XR) headset, termed Project Moohan, which was unveiled following the formal presentations. Attendees were unable to engage with the device directly, but they were given an opportunity to capture images of it on display.
A Closer Look at Project Moohan
In terms of aesthetics, Samsung’s XR headset shares some design elements with Apple’s Vision Pro while displaying occasional parallels to Meta’s Quest Pro as well.
The front visor is equipped with several discreet cameras situated behind a glass cover. The upper section of the device features multiple control buttons, while a fabric light seal extends upwards. Additionally, a cushioned headrest is located in the back area—an essential feature for any XR headset.

Initially introduced back in December 2022, Samsung’s XR headset will operate on Google’s Android XR platform. Furthermore, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset—a significant highlight from what Samsung has publicly confirmed thus far.
The Path Forward for Developers and Consumers
Initially aimed towards developers, details surrounding when consumers can expect commercial availability for Project Moohan remain vague. Observers anticipate further announcements later in this year that may provide comprehensive insights alongside a potential launch timetable.
