Introducing the Innovative Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt by Schlage
Schlage has recently launched its latest high-tech offering, the Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt, which seamlessly integrates with various smart home ecosystems including HomeKit through Matter-over-Thread technology. This modern locking system is designed to operate without a traditional keyhole, requiring only a smartphone for access.
Advanced Features for Enhanced Security
The Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt boasts hands-free unlocking capabilities via NFC and utilizes Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology. This cutting-edge feature allows the lock to automatically disengage as users approach their entrance door by calculating distance, speed, and trajectory using UWB signals.
This innovative device is one of the first in its category to implement hands-free unlocking through an Ultra Wideband chip embedded in iPhones. With the introduction of “Express Mode,” featured in iOS 18, users can unlock their doors just by being nearby—as long as compatible smart locks with UWB technology become available on the market.
Diverse Access Options
Alongside NFC capabilities for tap-to-unlock convenience, this deadbolt also offers a keypad interface for entry using a numerical code—a versatile solution catering to different user preferences.
A New Companion App
To complement the Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt experience, Schlage is developing an upgraded Schlage Home app. The new app will feature an intuitive interface that simplifies remote management of your home’s locking mechanisms.
No Pricing Details Yet but Availability Soon
The company has yet to announce pricing specifics for this innovative product; however, consumers can expect it on shelves sometime in late 2025.
