Transforming Work Environments with AI
This fiscal year (2024), Cisco launched BridgeIT—a state-of-the-art chat-based AI system integrated within its Webex suite—to assist employees with inquiries about Cisco offerings while providing support solutions as well as generating presentation outlines.
Moreover, team collaboration has been redefined through initiatives like “Teaming with AI”—a pilot program allowing collaborative teams to explore innovative methods designed to enhance productivity. Additionally, we facilitated an “InnoVerse: AI” hackathon encouraging staff members to discover new applications of AI within their roles while also gaining valuable training throughout the process.
Empowering Skill Development through Artificial Intelligence
The rapid evolution prompted by artificial intelligence offers opportunities for workforce skill enhancement globally. With programs like the Cisco Networking Academy collaborating with industry leaders—providing engaging self-paced courses like IBM SkillsBuild’s Introduction to Artificial Intelligence—we enable learners to acquire skills aligned with tomorrow’s work demands. Furthermore, we spearheaded the establishment of the AI-Enabled ICT Workforce Consortium alongside industry giants such as Google and Microsoft for assessing jobs’ evolution due to AI impacts while outlining paths for skill development—all aimed at ensuring inclusive growth amid technological changes.
