Sony is set to significantly upgrade the camera capabilities of its upcoming Xperia 1 VII. Reports suggest that it will feature the advanced Exmor T sensor across all three rear cameras, marking a notable improvement over last year’s iteration, which utilized this technology solely for its primary lens.
Understanding the Exmor T Sensor
The Exmor T represents Sony’s latest innovation in stacked CMOS sensor technology, utilizing a sophisticated two-layer transistor pixel setup. This new design drastically reduces noise levels compared to the older Exmor RS models from a decade ago, enhancing performance in low-light conditions and offering an expanded dynamic range for photographs.
Camera Specifications Remain Steady
Despite these advancements in sensor technology, it’s important to note that there may not be changes in sensor dimensions or megapixel counts.
