New Mirroring Feature in Google Photos for Android Users
Google Photos has introduced a highly beneficial feature, though currently only for Android devices: the option to effortlessly mirror your images.
Simplified Editing Process
To utilize this feature, simply tap the Edit button on any photo you wish to modify. Next, choose the Crop option and select the flip icon. After making your adjustments, just hit Save and you’re all set. Keep in mind that this functionality is exclusively available for photos.
Perfect for Selfies
This new mirroring capability is particularly advantageous for selfies, which many smartphones tend to automatically flip. While this automatic adjustment can be appropriate at times, there are instances when you may prefer an exact portrayal as seen through the camera lens. Some camera applications offer both mirrored and unflipped options; however, if yours does not support such features, Google Photos now provides a straightforward solution.
Flexible Saving Options
Similar to other editing tools within Google Photos, users can choose whether to save the mirrored image as a duplicate file or directly overwrite the original photograph. This feature offers flexibility based on individual preferences regarding image documentation.
