Super Evil Megacorp Appoints Ian Fielding as CEO
In a significant move today, Super Evil Megacorp has named Ian Fielding its new Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Kristian Segerstrale. According to the company, Fielding has been instrumental in overseeing product development as part of their strategic vision, and he steps into this pivotal role following an unprecedented year of expansion. Meanwhile, Segerstrale will transition to serve as executive chair.
A Vision for the Future
Commenting on his appointment, Fielding expressed his gratitude for having collaborated with such a visionary leader like Segerstrale. “Working alongside Kristian has been a privilege,” he noted. ”I’m eager to partner with him in this new capacity and am thrilled about what lies ahead for Super Evil Megacorp as we implement our long-term objectives to elevate SEMC into a premier independent studio that delivers exceptional shared gaming experiences.”
A Proven Track Record
Fielding brings valuable experience from his previous roles at Riot Games—a major player in the gaming industry—where he contributed to hit titles like League of Legends and Valorant. Prior to joining Super Evil Megacorp, he also had notable stints at Insomniac Games. As an executive producer at SEMC, he led the charge on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, which successfully launched on both Nintendo Switch and PC platforms in 2024. Looking ahead, Super Evil is geared up with multiple projects under development and is collaborating with Netflix on Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game.
Celebrating Successes
Segerstrale expressed confidence during this transition by stating that he takes pride in what they have built together over the years as an independent game developer. He credited much of their recent achievements to Fielding’s leadership skills. “There are vast opportunities ahead,” Segerstrale remarked confidently. “With Ian at the helm as CEO leading our dedicated team forward, I have no doubt that Super Evil is poised for continued success.”
