Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Set to Expand: Introducing the S25 Slim
In January, during its highly-anticipated Unpacked event, Samsung is gearing up to reveal not three, but four models in the Galaxy S25 lineup. Among these devices, the Galaxy S25 Slim has surfaced as a new addition, recently highlighted in a leaked teaser.
Delayed Launch Timing for the Galaxy S25 Slim
There have been multiple discussions indicating that the launch of the Galaxy S25 Slim may occur later than its counterparts within the series. A fresh report supports this claim based on details from Samsung’s latest One UI 7 beta version. This version includes a list of specific models tailored for US carriers; notably absent from this inventory is the model number corresponding to the Galaxy S25 Slim.
The Implications of Its Absence
The omission suggests that this slim variant won’t be included in Samsung’s initial device rollout that operates with One UI 7 layered over Android 15. Previous whispers indicated that availability for both consumers and markets would not materialize until around mid-2024 (between April and June), which aligns with revelations made through One UI 7.
Specs That Stand Out
The anticipated specifications for the Galaxy S25 Slim promise impressive features: it will likely feature a sizable 6.66-inch display alongside an advanced camera setup comprising a remarkable 200 MP primary sensor paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens and another 50 MP telephoto lens equipped with an optical zoom capability of up to 3.5x. Furthermore, it is expected to integrate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and offer robust battery performance ranging between approximately 4,700 mAh and even up to 5,000 mAh.
