Oppo Set to Unveil the Innovative Watch X2 Featuring Blood Pressure Monitoring
Oppo is on the verge of launching its latest smartwatch, the Watch X2. According to Zhou Yibao, the company’s Product Manager, this wearable will introduce a significant advancement: a built-in blood pressure monitoring system.
A recent live demonstration revealed details about this smartwatch. The device showcases a circular display complemented by two operational buttons located on its right side. It is expected to hit the market in February, coinciding with the debut of the Oppo Find N5, which claims to be “the world’s slimmest foldable smartphone.”
The image shared portrays an unconventional design; however, it appears that this may simply be an oversized casing aimed at shielding its actual aesthetics from prying eyes before its official launch.
Health Alert for Users
The executive mentioned that while testing the Watch X2, it promptly alerted them about potentially elevated blood pressure levels. This raises awareness for users about maintaining their health through proper diet and lifestyle adjustments since hypertension is widely recognized as a leading cause of mortality worldwide.
A New Player in Health Tech Wearables
This marks Oppo’s inaugural venture into wearables capable of measuring blood pressure. In contrast, OnePlus has already embraced this technology with their Watch 2 model. Moreover, Oppo will join other tech giants like Samsung, Huawei, Google (alongside Fitbit), and Garmin in offering devices equipped with health monitoring features.
