iRobot Unveils Innovative New Roomba Vacuums with Cutting-Edge Features
iRobot has recently revealed a lineup of advanced Roomba vacuum models, showcasing remarkable functionalities. Notably, the Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo Robot is being marketed as ”the first in the industry to feature an onboard mechanical debris-compacting system.” Essentially, this technology compresses dust and debris similar to how a power compactor works.
This innovative feature allows users to go up to eight weeks without needing to empty the vacuum’s contents. Furthermore, it eliminates the necessity for a separate waste bin.

Advanced Cleaning Performance and Hybrid Features
The Roomba 205 also excels as a fully-functional hybrid device that combines vacuuming and mopping capabilities. It boasts a four-stage cleaning system equipped with ClearView LiDAR technology for enhanced navigation. According to iRobot, this model provides “250 percent more lifting suction power along with improved overall cleaning efficiency,” especially when compared against models from the Roomba 600 series.
Enhanced Mopping with DualClean Technology
An additional noteworthy product is the Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot paired with an AutoWash Dock, which places particular emphasis on superior mopping functions. This unit features state-of-the-art DualClean mop pads that rotate at an impressive rate of 200 RPM for augmented cleaning performance. Moreover, it includes an AutoWash dock that independently cleans and dries the mop pads—a functionality first introduced in last year’s Roomba Combo 10 Max model.
