Introducing the Sigma BF: A Revolutionary Mirrorless Camera

Sigma has unveiled the BF,‍ an ⁤innovative 24.6-megapixel full-frame ⁣mirrorless camera featuring a built-in SSD instead of traditional ‍CFexpress or SD card slots. Renowned for their unique lenses and unconventional ‍camera designs, ⁣Sigma continues to push the boundaries of photography technology with this latest ⁢offering.

Distinctive Design and Ergonomics

The ⁢Sigma BF ⁢is crafted from a single piece of‍ aluminum, showcasing a robust aesthetic characterized by flat,⁢ angular contours that may not prioritize comfort in handling—except for the strategically placed thumb rest at the rear. This design philosophy embodies minimalism; ⁣the camera presents no brand markings on its exterior and‍ utilizes haptic buttons to further simplify interaction. The rear⁢ side includes a high-resolution display, an‌ elongated status indicator for ⁢real-time setting adjustments, along with navigational dials ⁣and essential control buttons such as power and playback options. ⁢The top panel remains equally streamlined with just two microphones alongside a shutter trigger.

Advanced Features and Capabilities

The BF is designed to work seamlessly with L-mount lenses while excelling in both photographic and videographic capabilities:⁣ its 35mm ⁢full-frame sensor can shoot impressive 6K videos at‍ up to 120 frames per second while utilizing HEVC encoding. According to ⁣Sigma’s specifications, the integrated 230GB SSD offers substantial storage potential—enough space for over 14,000 JPEG images, approximately 4,300 uncompressed RAW files, or around two-and-a-half hours of high-quality video content.

Diverse Color Customization Options

In line⁣ with modern mirrorless cameras’ features aimed⁣ at enhancing creative expression, the BF boasts multiple ⁣color modes that allow photographers to customize⁤ their images’ appearance dramatically. Users can select from various presets including standard ⁣settings as well as vibrant hues like deep forest green or vivid sunset red.

A Price Tag Reflecting ⁢Innovation

This exciting blend of unique features ‍may pique your interest if you’re looking for something out-of-the-ordinary in your photography gear; however,⁤ be prepared for an investment as well. Reports⁢ suggest that starting⁢ in April 2025, consumers will be able to purchase the body-only version of the Sigma BF priced at $1,999‍ available in black or silver finishes.
