TCL Launches Advanced Mini LED TV: The QM7K
TCL has rolled out its latest innovation in the Precise Dimming Series, the QM7K Mini LED television. This model builds on the features of its predecessor, the QM6K, and boasts significant improvements in technology.
According to TCL, the QM7K achieves superior peak brightness compared to earlier models and boasts a newly designed anti-reflective panel. The television promises enhanced color fidelity and improved gray scale precision while minimizing blooming effects. These advancements can be attributed to TCL’s cutting-edge Super High Energy LED Chip that merges intense brightness with exceptional light efficiency, alongside a Super Condensed Micro Lens that employs a narrower light path for meticulous control.

The upgraded technology effectively reduces optical distance between the backlight and diffuser components, thereby alleviating issues like blooming, diminishing halo effects, and preventing interference between neighboring LED lights. Coupled with its anti-reflective panel design, this results in visuals characterized by heightened contrast ratios and deeper black levels.
Cutting-Edge Software Enhancements
On the software front, TCL has introduced an advanced color optimization algorithm aimed at refining accuracy further. The Halo Control System is equipped with an innovative bi-directional 23-bit backlight controller that provides precise regulation over more than 65 thousand distinct brightness levels for each individual LED bulb. Additionally, there’s a novel algorithm engineered to “intelligently enhance” standard dynamic range (SDR) signals up to near high dynamic range (HDR) quality.
Audio Features and Pricing Tiers
The QM7K is also outfitted with premium Bang & Olufsen speakers while select models come standard with a stylish pedestal stand. Available sizes will range from 55 inches all the way up to an impressive 115 inches—prices starting at approximately $1,300 for smaller versions escalating to around $20,000 for those massive 115-inch displays. Traditional size variants are currently available through numerous retailers across the country; however, larger options are set to release shortly after launch. Notably, some buyers may receive a complimentary $500 Visa gift card as part of their purchase incentives.
