Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Set for Major Camera Enhancements
According to a new report, the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold7 from Samsung is poised to feature an impressive 200 MP primary camera. This revelation aligns with previous reports we encountered last month, showcasing the first leaked images of the device.
The 200 MP sensor will be identical to the one found in last year’s Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was available in South Korea and China. Notably, this camera is also utilized in the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, marking a significant upgrade from the 50 MP camera seen on its predecessor, the Fold6.
Enhancing Under-Display Camera Quality
The latest insights also suggest that there will be an upgrade to the under-display camera located beneath the foldable screen. While specific details about this enhancement remain sparse, improvements in quality and resolution—especially compared to the current 4 MP standard—would certainly be welcome news for users seeking better selfie capabilities.
Limited Camera Upgrades Overall
Regrettably, these enhancements appear limited when assessing other features of the Fold7. The device will continue with its existing configuration that includes a 12 MP ultrawide lens and dual 10 MP telephoto and front-facing cameras on the cover display—unchanged from its predecessor.
A Summer Launch on The Horizon
The unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is anticipated alongside other notable releases such as Flip7 and potentially Samsung’s innovative ‘tri-fold’ smartphone model. Fans can look forward to an official announcement later this July.
