It has become essential for Apple to form alliances within China due to regulatory requirements stipulating that all AI services must obtain government licenses, which are predominantly granted only to domestic enterprises. This regulatory barrier has hindered the launch of Apple Intelligence within Chinese markets until now. With Alibaba now as their local partner, this limitation is expected to be lifted shortly.
