Apple Unveils iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3: A Leap in Intelligent Features
Recently, Apple has rolled out the newest updates for its devices—iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3—available to the public. This latest iteration introduces enhanced Visual Intelligence capabilities that allow users to seamlessly add events to their Calendar app by simply scanning posters or flyers, as well as improved identification features for various plants and animals.
Refined Notification Summaries
In this update, all summaries generated by Apple’s intelligent system are now highlighted in italics, enhancing their visibility compared to regular notifications. Users can easily manage their notification summaries directly from the Lock Screen; a simple swipe followed by tapping on Options allows them to customize settings, including disabling summary notifications for individual applications.
User Experience Enhancements
The Calculator app now repeats the last calculation when users tap the equals button again—a feature designed for convenience—and several other issues have been addressed as well. Notably, a bug where the keyboard would disappear during a typed Siri request has been resolved, along with another issue where audio playback routinely continued until completion even after exiting Apple Music.
Accessibility of Intelligent Features
This update marks a significant shift in how Apple implements its AI capabilities; users who set up new devices or those upgrading to iOS 18.3 will find these features automatically enabled—transitioning from an opt-in approach previously used to an opt-out configuration now available.
