During his recent visit to the UK, Apple CEO Tim Cook welcomed His Majesty King Charles III to the company’s headquarters located in the iconic Battersea Power Station.
A Grand Transformation of a Historic Site
Cook escorted King Charles through Apple’s campus within what was once a dilapidated coal-powered electricity station turned modern office complex. This landmark site began operating as the headquarters for Apple in London in early 2023 and signifies a monumental enhancement of Apple’s footprint within the city. The restoration has enabled over 1,400 employees to work from this renovated historical facility.
An Engagement with Youth and Creativity
The royal visit included an interaction between King Charles and staff members from Apple as well as local students. A key component of the tour was spotlighting collaborative educational initiatives with The King’s Trust—a charity dedicated to equipping young individuals with essential learning opportunities.
Younger participants associated with The King’s Trust showcased coding projects they had created using Apple’s resources. Additionally, students from St. George’s Primary School expressed their holiday spirit through artwork created on iPads; this impressive artwork was then displayed on the striking chimneys of Battersea Power Station.

Further reinforcing its ties within Britain’s creative sector is Apple’s recent partnership with Aardman Animations—the studio behind beloved characters like Wallace & Gromit—as they crafted engaging stop-motion animations utilizing an iPhone 16 Pro Max camera system which just recently premiered on Billy Power Station’s façade earlier this month.
