Anticipated Launch of OnePlus’s New Midrange Device
OnePlus is in the process of developing a new mid-range smartphone equipped with a top-tier chipset, often referred to as a potential ‘flagship killer’. Although the official name remains uncertain, it is believed to either be dubbed Ace 5V or Ace 5S. This forthcoming model is poised to succeed the Ace 3V, which was unveiled in March of the previous year.
Impressive Specifications and Features
The upcoming device is expected to feature a substantial 6.83-inch LTPS OLED flat display boasting a resolution categorized as “1.5K” and an impressive refresh rate of 120 Hz. Underneath its sleek exterior, it will be powered by MediaTek’s advanced Dimensity 9400+ system-on-chip (SoC). The primary camera is anticipated to sport a resolution of 50 MP; however, there are no signs of the inclusion of telephoto capabilities on this model.

Sleek Design and Battery Details
The back design of the smartphone has been described simply, leaving much open to interpretation regarding its overall aesthetic. A notable change includes OnePlus introducing an updated button that will replace their traditional Alert Slider feature. While exact battery specifications are pending confirmation, speculation suggests it could either house approximately a robust 7,500 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging or alternatively around 7,000 mAh with enhanced charging capabilities at up to 100W. It appears OnePlus may still be deliberating between prioritizing rapid charging or greater battery capacity.
Expected Release Timeline
The timeline for when this device will officially debut remains unclear; however, many speculate that an announcement shouldn’t take longer than several weeks—especially since its predecessor approaches its one-year mark soon.
