Upcoming Refresh for Poco’s F Series: What to Expect from the F7 Ultra
Poco is set to unveil an updated version of its flagship F series, following the introduction of the F6 and F6 Pro in May of the previous year. Notably, this release will bring a new addition with the first-ever Ultra variant—named the F7 Ultra.
A Peek into Benchmark Results
Recent reports indicate that the Poco F7 Ultra has appeared on Geekbench AI under the model identifier 24122RKC7G. This designation was confirmed when it received certification for distribution in Indonesia back in January. The “G” suffix designates it as a model intended for global markets.
Performance Specifications Unveiled
The benchmarking results reveal that the Poco F7 Ultra is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The variant tested boasted an impressive 16GB RAM, although multiple configurations are likely available upon its official launch. Users can expect Android 15 pre-installed, layered with Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface right out of the box.
Key Benchmark Scores and Display Features
The device achieved scores of 2,667 for Single Precision performance, 2,645 in Half Precision metrics, and an outstanding score of 4,866 in Quantized processing. Rumored design features include a striking flat OLED display measuring 6.67 inches with a ”2K” resolution paired with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Additional enhancements may feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded within the display itself along with storage capacities reaching up to 1TB and robust battery life from a substantial 6,000 mAh unit capable of fast charging at rates up to 120W wired and an impressive 50W wirelessly.
Camera Capabilities Highlighted
Rumors surrounding camera specifications suggest that users might enjoy a versatile setup featuring a primary camera rated at 50 MP equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by a wide-angle lens at 32 MP as well as another telephoto lens offering double zoom capabilities also including OIS support—a configuration ideal for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, it’s expected that there will be a selfie camera boasting impressive capabilities at around 20 MP strength.
The tech community has speculated on whether this upcoming model is simply rebranding efforts akin to those seen previously between Poco and Redmi devices—specifically hinting towards its possible connection as being based on what was known as Redmi K80 Pro.
