Oppo Find X8 Ultra Launch Update: New Details Emerge
Earlier this week, there were speculations about the Oppo Find X8 Ultra making its debut in China as early as March. However, Zhou Yibao, the product manager for Oppo’s Find series, has confirmed that we can expect the unveiling of this device in April instead. Alongside its announcement, sales will begin within the same month.
A Unique Flat-Screen Offering
Zhou highlighted that this could potentially be the singular Ultra smartphone from a Chinese brand to feature a flat display this year. While specifics remained undisclosed, he hinted at groundbreaking features related to slim design. The forthcoming device is anticipated to showcase a 6.82-inch “2K” OLED panel crafted by BOE and will include impressive camera configurations with a 1-inch main sensor along with dual periscope telephoto lenses and an ultra-wide lens.

Introducing a Compact Flagship: The Find X8 Next
In addition to the highly-anticipated Ultra model, Oppo plans to introduce another intriguing gadget—a new “ultra-thin compact flagship,” which is likely referring to what has previously been termed the Find X8 Mini or next iteration dubbed as Find X8 Next. With indications suggesting it could measure between 7 mm and 7.99 mm in thickness — it makes sense why it’s categorized under “small screen flagship.” This strategy may place it directly in competition with premium models like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s iPhone 17 Air.
