Oppo’s Innovative Shift: The Find X8 Ultra and Its New Features
In 2023, Oppo introduced the Alert Slider feature borrowed from OnePlus, first on the Find N3 Flip and later integrated into the Find N3. This slider quickly became a signature component for several models including the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. However, recent insights from reputable leakster Digital Chat Station reveal that the upcoming Find X8 Ultra will not include this familiar control. Instead, Oppo is opting for an Apple-inspired Action Button that promises enhanced customization options.
Anticipated Launch and Specifications
The launch of the Find X8 Ultra was initially anticipated for February; however, updates from Digital Chat Station suggest it has been rescheduled for March. Current information hints at a flat display design along with state-of-the-art hardware features such as Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a robust 6,000 mAh battery capacity, and impressive 100W wired charging—all encased within an IP68/69 rated housing.
Camera Enhancements in Focus
A wealth of details regarding the camera system on the forthcoming Find X8 Ultra has also surfaced. It appears that Oppo will retain its premium 1-inch LYT-900 primary sensor unveiled in their earlier model, the Find X7 Ultra. Additionally, there will be a 50MP IMX882 sensor facilitating ultrawide photography capabilities. Significant enhancements are expected in both telephoto cameras; rumors indicate that an upgraded periscope lens featuring a larger 1/1.56-inch size coupled with an advanced 50MP IMX906 (Lytia LYT-701) sensor may serve as both a telephoto lens and macro camera option. Meanwhile, another periscope setup will likely utilize a refined version of last year’s optics—a switch to using a more capable 50MP IMX882 sensor instead of its predecessor’s lesser specifications.
