Oppo Set to Introduce the Find X8 Ultra with a Flat Screen Design
Emerging from a recent leak by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, it appears that Oppo is gearing up to unveil its Find X8 Ultra as the first flagship smartphone of 2023 featuring a flat display.
This new model will boast remarkably slim bezels, which have become a standard expectation within this category of smartphones. This shift toward flat designs indicates the declining popularity of curved screens, which gained traction after Samsung’s innovation and were enthusiastically embraced by various Chinese manufacturers over recent years.

The forthcoming Find X8 Ultra is speculated to feature an impressive telephoto macro camera harnessing the 50 MP Sony Lytia LYT-701 sensor, complete with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS). The launch event for the Find X8 Ultra is expected to take place in February alongside its sibling device, the Find X8 Mini. Notably, this model will include advanced features such as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner located beneath the display, support for satellite communications, and an enormous battery capacity of 6,000 mAh paired with fast charging options: both wired at 80W and wireless at 50W. However, reports suggest that it might not receive an official international release.
