As CES 2025 approaches, LG has revealed significant updates⁢ to its beloved Gram laptop series. A decade into offering ultra-portable devices, the newest iterations continue⁣ to emphasize AI integration and​ performance ‌enhancements while preserving⁣ their lightweight design.

New Models Set for Release

This year features four new models: two versions of⁢ the​ Gram Pro, a versatile Gram Pro 2-in-1, and an entry-level model titled the Gram Book. The initial variant of the ⁣Gram Pro is equipped with an Intel Core H-series (Arrow Lake) processor, making it suitable for conventional computing tasks including some gaming functions. In contrast, the second version harnesses an Intel ⁢Core Ultra V-series (Lunar‍ Lake)⁣ processor tailored for ⁣artificial intelligence operations and is categorized as a Microsoft Copilot+ PC. This enhanced variant⁢ comes loaded with expected AI functionalities like Recall, Live Captions, Cocreator capabilities, and Windows Studio ‍Effects.

Even if you choose‌ not ‌to go with the Copilot+ configuration, most new models (except for the Gram Book) will ⁢still include various LG AI ​features. These are categorized into on-device and ⁢cloud-based tasks. Notably among on-device offerings is​ a‌ streamlined chatbot derived from LG’s EXAONE large language model along with LG’s Time Travel feature that functions similarly to Microsoft’s Recall by retrieving previously accessed web ‍pages along with documents or multimedia files.
