Specifications and Performance
The upcoming smartphone appears to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, indicating its classification as an entry-level SoC. Despite this, the device boasts support for 5G connectivity, enhancing its appeal in today’s fast-evolving mobile landscape. Preliminary tests reveal that the prototype is equipped with 8GB of RAM; however, there are possibilities for additional RAM configurations upon official release.
Operating System and Branding Challenges
The vivo Y39 is set to launch with Android version 15 right out of the box. Interestingly, it may be marketed under the name “Jovi” in Brazil due to a trademark conflict with Telefonica Brazil regarding ownership rights over the “Vivo” brand within that region.

Diving into its lineage, little information about additional features of the Y39 has surfaced so far. However, reflecting on its predecessor—the vivo Y38—released in May—provides some context.
