Xiaomi Unveils the Redmi Note 14S: A Familiar Face in a New Frame
Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 14S, targeting markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Officially launched for users in Czechia and Ukraine, this model is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, featuring a freshly designed camera module.
Specifications Remain Unchanged
The technical specifications provided for this device mirror those of its predecessor from over a year ago. The Redmi Note 14S houses an efficient Helio G99 chipset complemented by a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display featuring a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. On the rear, it boasts an impressive main camera with a resolution of 200 MP.
Outdated Operating System Raises Concerns
Upon launching the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G earlier in early 2024, Xiaomi equipped it with Android version that was already falling behind at Android 13. The new iteration, however, notably omits mention of its OS version entirely — sparking doubts regarding whether any software updates have taken place or if HyperOS continues to lay on top of outdated software from two years prior.
Color Variants and Pricing Details
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S is available in three appealing colors: Blue, Purple, and Black. In terms of pricing, it retails for UAH10,999 in Ukraine and CZK5,999 in Czechia — which translates roughly to $260 or €240 for the configuration boasting an ample storage option of either 8GB RAM paired with a generous array of up to256 GB memory.
