Updates in iOS 18.3: Enhanced Calculator Functionality
With the release of iOS 18.3, Apple has introduced a noteworthy update to its Calculator application by reinstating the ability to perform repeating calculations. Now, users can reexecute mathematical functions simply by double-tapping the equals button.
For instance, if you enter “5 x 5” and press equals once, you’ll obtain a result of “25.” Pressing equals again will trigger another multiplication by “5,” so you’ll keep getting increments of twenty-five with each additional press. This feature is especially advantageous for those performing repetitive calculations such as compound interest.
Previous Functionality and Its Return
The ability to repeat operations was part of the Calculator’s functionality before iOS version 18 but was lost with its initial update. Those who sought this feature will be pleased to find it restored after upgrading to iOS version 18.3.
This useful functionality has also been missing from macOS until it’s revived in mac OS version 15.3.
