Samsung Introduces Enhanced Gaming Features in One UI 7 Beta
Samsung has recently unveiled the second beta version of One UI 7, a customized interface over Android 15, bringing exciting updates specifically for gamers. A notable enhancement is a revamped feature that allows users to adjust the refresh rate when playing games.
New Refresh Rate Options for Gamers
Previously, One UI allowed users to limit game frame rates to 48 Hz as a way to conserve battery life. However, with this latest update, players can now select between two options: 60 Hz and 120 Hz. This streamlined approach eliminates intermediate choices and focuses on delivering either standard or high-fluid gaming experiences.

Where to Find the New Setting
This new feature is accessible through the Game Booster app located within Samsung’s Gaming Hub. Here, you’ll discover the option labeled “Gaming motion smoothness.” According to Samsung’s announcement, adjustments made here will not interfere with titles that already have their own built-in refresh rate settings. Moreover, games designed without support for refresh rates exceeding 60 Hz will continue functioning within their limitations even if users attempt to enable the new setting.
Personalized Performance Controls Per Game
The Game Booster app also offers increased customization options; players can now tailor performance specifications like maximum frame rates and resolution individually for each game they launch. This means you can optimize your gaming setup based on specific title requirements rather than sticking with generic settings.
