Apple Pay Integrates Citi Flex Pay for U.S. Users
Apple Pay has expanded its functionality by incorporating Citi Flex Pay, enabling U.S. users with Citi credit cards to manage their payments for Apple Pay transactions over time using the Flex Pay feature.
Flexible Payment Options Available
The Citi Flex Pay option can be utilized for Apple Pay transactions that exceed $75. Customers can opt for a standard payback period of three months; however, extended repayment options are also available at an additional monthly charge. This payment solution is applicable when shopping online or within applications.
How to Access Citi Flex Pay via Apple Wallet
To use the Citi Flex Pay feature, users must first add an eligible Citi credit card to their Apple Wallet. During checkout, they should select the associated card and then choose “Pay Later.” Following this step, they can pick a suitable Citiflex payment plan.
The Evolution of Apple’s Payment Solutions
Previously, Apple offered its own buy now and pay later service known as Apple Pay Later; however, this service was discontinued last year. Currently, Apple collaborates with various third-party providers to offer flexible payment options over time. Other prominent partnerships in the U.S. include services like Affirm, Klarna, and Synchrony Financial.
