Introducing the Latest Rode Wireless GO Microphone System: A Game Changer for Audio Professionals
Rode has unveiled the third generation of its highly acclaimed Wireless GO microphone system, enhancing its functionalities significantly compared to the previous version, Wireless GO II, released in 2021.
Advanced Recording Capabilities
This upgraded system features 32-bit float on-board recording, allowing audio capture directly onto the receiver. With an impressive capacity for up to 40 hours of internal footage storage, this kit also introduces a groundbreaking feature known as GainAssist.
GainAssist functions as a dynamic compression algorithm that intelligently adjusts and balances audio levels in real-time. According to Rode, this technology effectively mitigates “the dramatic level variations typically encountered during raw recordings.” Consequently, users can expect minimal editing requirements in post-production. In cases where GainAssist might falter, there’s a backup; an extra storage channel records a clean copy of the sound.
Exceptional Range and Connectivity Features
The majority of users will likely employ these microphones with various cameras; hence onboard storage is often unnecessary. The new Wireless GO system boasts an impressive operational range of up to 260 meters from the receiver when in line-of-sight conditions are met. Additionally, it maintains compatibility with all Rode Series IV devices such as RodeCaster Pro II and Rodecaster Video while providing universal support for smartphones and computers.
User-Friendly Design Enhancements
The design includes locking lavalier connectors alongside an integrated LCD screen that provides real-time updates about battery life and audio signal strength. One notable upgrade is the availability of limited-edition colors—ranging from vibrant red to soft pink—offering consumers more choices than ever before; contrasting with the black-and-white options previously available with Wireless GO II.
A Comprehensive Kit Fit for Creators
This enhanced Wireless GO kit comprises one receiver along with two transmitters, accompanied by a charging hub, several windshields for noise reduction, and multiple connecting cables—all available at a price point of $300. Additionally, there’s an optional dedicated charging case priced separately at $90.
