At this point, we’ve been highlighting Black Friday deals for what feels like the better part of a month. Now that the annual shopping holiday is officially here, however, we can tell you with the utmost certainty what the best deals are — including the budget-friendly tech you probably didn’t know you needed, much of which can be had for under $50.

We’ve sifted through the deluge of deals at Amazon, Best Buy, and other retailers to bring you an assortment of cheaper deals below, several of which can be had for as little as $10. And while you’ve likely heard of many of these items before — AirTags, anyone? — we’ve also made an effort to include lesser-known favorites of ours like Sharge’s adorable Retro 67 charger, Anker’s gym-friendly Soundcore Sport X10 earbuds, and Hoto’s ultra-handy electric screwdriver.

Obviously, we can’t guarantee you’ll end up spending less than $50 at checkout, but at least you can start whatever spending spree you may or may not be on with a few inexpensive items.

The best speaker and smart display deals

The third-gen Echo Show 5 turned on while on a desk in front of the window during a rainy day.

The new Echo Show 5 is just as small as its predecessor but features updated mics and a speaker system that delivers double the bass and clearer sound quality.

  • Regularly $129.99, right now you can buy the last-gen Echo Show 8 for $54.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. It’s not as fast as the third-gen model and can’t act as a smart hub, but it’s still a good smart display that can carry out all sorts of Alexa-enabled tasks, from making Zoom calls to controlling other smart home devices. Despite the fact it’s tiny, the Bluetooth speaker delivers crisp, clear sound along with up to 16 hours of continuous battery life. The best wireless earbud deals

Jabra’s Elite 3 earbuds have a refreshed design that’s more stylish than the company’s past earbuds. While they don’t have many frills or extra features, they fare well in the key areas of sound quality, comfort, and battery life. Read our review.

Anker’s Soundcore Sport X10 headphones have powerful bass, flexible ear loops that keep them in place, and an IPX7 rating for water and sweat resistance. They can also provide up to eight hours of continuous battery life. Read our review.

  • If you’re someone who doesn’t like the feel of in-ear earbuds, Amazon’s latest Echo Buds are worth a look, and they’re currently on sale at Amazon for a very low $34.99. The “semi in-ear” fit means your ears won’t have that plugged up sensation, and you’ll be able to maintain awareness of all that’s happening around you.

The best Bluetooth speaker deals

The latest entry in the JBL clip line of Bluetooth speakers retains the same integrated carabiner of its predecessor while including a more powerful speaker.

The latest version of Tribit’s StormBox Micro is a small Bluetooth speaker that offers great sound for its size and attaches to a variety of objects with its built-in strap. The Micro 2 has improved battery life over its predecessor and can be used as a portable power bank to charge your phone.

The latest mainline Final Fantasy game is a bombastic roller coaster of an RPG infused with a dose of Game of Thrones medieval intrigue and gritty violence. It’s also quite the cinematic spectacle of the PlayStation 5’s graphical prowess. Read our review.

The Split Pad Pro represents Hori’s take on the Nintendo Switch Pro controller, one that is split into two separate pieces. The Split Pad Pro is a good Joy-Con alternative for people who primarily play their Nintendo Switch in handheld mode. Read our review.

Microsoft’s Xbox Stereo Headset offers a no-fuss, wired solution for gaming on the Xbox One and Series X / S, as well as PCs, and just about anything with a 3.5mm connection.   • In addition to the Split Pad Pro, Hori’s Split Pad Compact handheld controller in its cute Gengar Pokémon design is $39.99 ($20 off) at Amazon.
  • The wired version of the Razer Basilisk V3 gaming mouse is one of our favorite gaming mice and is on sale for $39.99 ($30 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. The mouse comes with programmable buttons as well as Chroma RGB lighting.
  • If you could use a dirt-cheap gaming mouse, Logitech’s G203 Lightsync is on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for $19.99 ($20 off), nearly matching its all-time low. The wired gaming mouse isn’t known for sweeping customization or premium features, though you do get a pair of side-mounted thumb buttons, a scroll wheel, and an accurate sensor for a mere $20.

The best charging accessory deals

Belkin’s BoostCharge Pro with MagSafe supports 15W fast wireless charging with MagSafe-compatible iPhones and has a lengthy 6.6-foot built-in cable. Its 15W charging speeds and little kickstand make the BoostCharge Pro with MagSafe the best all-purpose magnetic charging puck.

Qi wireless car charger with a one-touch mechanism and foot that adjusts to fit large and extra-large smartphones up to 3.7 inches.

This tiny Mac is powerful enough to charge a Mac — well, a MacBook Air anyhow. It advertises 67W from one port, 45W + 20W from two, or 45W + 15W + the remainder with three. Its Matrix-esque dot readout changes to a number of watts that are currently in use.

The best smart home deals

With solid performance and support for all of the major smart home platforms, this affordable Wi-Fi smart plug gives you the basics you need to control non-smart devices for less. It doesn’t have Matter or energy monitoring, but that’s alright at this price.

With straightforward app control and reliable dimming, this weather-resistant smart plug is tailor-made to tackle holiday lights and other plug-in outdoor lighting. It works with Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings.

The customizable Govee M1 Matter Compatible LED Strip Light is 6.56 feet long and can display millions of colors and shades of white. You can also use it to create light patterns that sync with music. Read our review.

The least expensive smart string lights you can buy, Govee’s LEDs are individually addressable, allowing for flashier effects. The colors are bright and bold, but no white chip means the RGB-designated whites are limited. Govee’s lights have built-in music sync and can sync scenes across the company’s wide range of lights, indoors and out.

Nanoleaf’s Matter Essentials bulbs work with every smart home platform, as long as you have a Matter controller and Thread border router. They’re brighter, cheap, and have great colors, but they don’t support Apple’s Adaptive Lighting. Read our review.

Each Blink Mini includes a ball-and-socket mount, a USB-C cable for powering it, and a power adapter. However, note that you’ll need to opt for the optional Blink subscription plan to take advantage of cloud storage and some features. Read our review.

Amazon’s Smart Air Quality Monitor touts a compact design, voice alerts, and automated triggers that allow it to turn on air purifiers and other Alexa-enabled devices. It lacks a display, however, and pairs best with an Echo device. Read our review.

  • Amazon’s Smart Plug is on sale for $14.99 instead of $24.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. The plug integrates well with Alexa-enabled devices and requires little setup, but be aware it only works with Alexa and indoors.
  • Regularly $94.48, you can currently buy the Blink Video Doorbell with a Blink Sync Module 2 (which allows for local storage) for $47.49 at Amazon and Best Buy. If you’re looking for a basic buzzer, the 1080p video doorbell is a good option with support for motion-activated recording and alerts, night vision, and two-way audio. 

The best deals on streaming services and devices

Google’s 4K-ready Chromecast introduces new software that brings together recommendations from all of your streaming services. It also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Read our review.

Amazon’s latest streaming stick is faster than its predecessor with Wi-Fi 6E and double the storage. It also now displays widgets and artwork when idle while continuing to offer a terrific selection of streaming apps and Alexa integration.

Max is offering new and returning customers a six-month subscription to its ad-supported plan for $2.99 a month instead of $9.99 a month until November 27th. The base plan provides access to all the same programming as the pricier tiers, including shows like The Last of Us and films like Barbie.

New and returning subscribers can get three months of the ad-supported Paramount Plus Essential plan for $1.99 per month instead of $5.99, or three months of Paramount Plus with Showtime for $3.99 a month instead of $11.99. To take advantage of either deal, just use promo code BLACKFRIDAY before December 4th.

  • A yearlong subscription to Hulu with ads is down to $11.88 from $79.99. What’s even better is that both new and returning subscribers who canceled their Hulu subscription at least a month ago can take advantage of the deal, as can existing Disney Plus and ESPN Plus standalone subscribers. Just note you’ll need to sign up before 11:59PM PT on November 28th.
  • The entry-level Chromecast with Google TV (HD), which can play HDR videos and comes with a Google Assistant remote, is on sale for just under $20 ($10 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target, nearly matching its all-time low of $18. Read our review.
  • The Alexa Voice Remote Pro is on sale for $27.99 ($7 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. In addition to working well with Amazon Alexa, the backlit remote offers customizable buttons and a useful remote finder feature. Read our review.

The best deals on other miscellaneous tech

Apple’s AirTags can help you find your lost items with their ultra-wideband technology. You’ll get the best compatibility with an iPhone, though Apple released an Android app that can detect an AirTag’s location and notify you if one seems to be following you. Read our review.

Crafted using tanned French leather, you can use the lanyard to keep your item finder in place or to clip it to luggage and other items.

Amazon’s budget tablet may not be a performance powerhouse, but the seven-inch slate offers USB-C support, 2GB of RAM, and support for most popular apps and streaming services, making it a decent device for watching videos or listening to audiobooks. Read our review.

The XP-Pen Deco Mini 7 is a pint-size drawing tablet that’s ideal for signing digital documents and playing rhythm games.

The Tile Pro is the company’s loudest Bluetooth tracker and has the widest range at 400 feet. It also has a user-replaceable battery, unlike other Tiles.

The Eufy Security SmartTrack Card works with Apple’s Find My network, comes with a clip, lets you know when you’ve left it behind, and can ring your phone even if it’s in silent mode.

The adjustable Logitech Litra Glow is designed to illuminate you while on video and can be mounted on a monitor.

The Amazon Echo Glow is a multicolored smart lamp for children, one that can cycle through colors and function as an Alexa-enabled sleep timer if needed.

  • The 2022Tile Mate is also on sale for $17.99 ($7 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. Unlike the Tile Pro, the Tile Mate can only keep tabs on items up to 250 feet away, but it’s also a good platform-agnostic tracker for keeping track of your stuff.
  • TP-Link’s RE315 Wi-Fi extender is on sale for just $24.99 ($25 off), matching its best price to date. It’s a good option if you’re looking to extend network coverage in your home or add ethernet connectivity to another room.

The best deals on Verge Favorites

Hoto’s electric screwdriver is perfect for making small- to medium-sized repairs around the house. In addition to a USB-C port, the screwdriver comes with a case and 12 steel bits.
