The Series A financing is expected to drive forward Swave’s Holographic eXtended Reality (HXR) platform. This advancement promises to deliver an immersive reality-first experience tailored for AI-driven augmented reality (AR) smartglasses and heads-up displays. The company plans to showcase its cutting-edge technology at CES 2025.

This funding round was co-led by Imec.xpand and SFPIM Relaunch, alongside contributions from new investors such as EIC Fund, IAG Capital Partners, and Murata Electronics North America. Existing investors like Qbic Fund, PMV, Imec, and Luminate also played significant roles in this investment initiative.
Previous Successes Propel Current Growth
Based in Leuven, Belgium, Swave had previously raised $10.47 million during a seed funding round last year. This earlier investment was instrumental in launching their HXR technology while also facilitating team expansion with industry experts specializing in photonics and semiconductors.
