The official launch is slated for February, and hints have been dropped through a teaser image shared by Pete Lau, which emphasizes one of the device’s standout features: its remarkable slim profile. Challenging Current Standards in Slimness
The current record for the thinnest foldable smartphone is held by the Honor Magic V3 at just 4.35mm thick. In order for Oppo’s latest model to take that title, it will need to reduce its dimensions significantly—rumors suggest that it may measure between 3.5 and 4mm.
Feature-Rich Specifications Expected
Zhou Yibao, product manager for the Oppo Find series, has highlighted some exciting features as well. Notably, this device will incorporate a titanium alloy hinge designed for durability as well as sleekness. It’s also speculated that an international market version might be branded as OnePlus Open 2.
The specifications currently circulating include Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset while boasting an impressive camera system with three rear-facing lenses each at 50 MP resolution. Furthermore, a robust battery capacity of 5,900 mAh promises longevity with support for fast charging options—80W through wired connections and up to 50W wirelessly.
