OnePlus 13R Launches with Initial Software Update
This week, OnePlus introduced the highly anticipated 13R smartphone, and users can expect their first software update right upon initial power-up. The device will officially hit the market in just a few days.
Key Features of the Update
This update is fairly minor, so significant changes shouldn’t be anticipated. However, it brings several notable enhancements: users can now customize watermarks in their photos; a “Touch to Share” feature has been added to facilitate connectivity with iOS devices; and there are marked improvements in both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability along with enhanced compatibility for Bluetooth devices.
Camera Enhancements and System Stability
The software also includes improvements to color accuracy in images taken with both the main camera and telephoto lens. Overall camera performance is expected to be more reliable, addressing previous issues where photographs appeared overly bright. Additionally, charging status notifications have been integrated into Live Alerts for ease of monitoring, alongside general system stability enhancements.
Security Updates Included
This rollout incorporates the December 2024 security patch level—somewhat outdated by January standards. It features the new build identifier OxygenOS 15.0.0.403 and will gradually be available worldwide in phases.
