Apple Trafford Center is set to transition into a new era as it prepares for closure on February 26, 2025.
Celebrating 20 Years with a Fresh Start
In honor of its two decades in operation, Apple Trafford Center will shutter its doors only to emerge in a larger and more visible area within the same shopping complex.
A Timetable for Transition
The relocation process commences on Monday, February 24, 2025. From that evening onwards, the store will cease operations early at 8 PM local time—a departure from its usual closing hour of 10 PM. This adjusted schedule will remain through Tuesday and Wednesday when the store closes permanently.
A Glimpse at What’s Next
Apple plans to reopen its new establishment within the Trafford Center on March 1, 2025. Although apple has not officially announced specifics about this upcoming store, local news sources and documentation from Trafford Council indicate that it may occupy space previously held by Dorothy Perkins, a now-defunct women’s clothing retailer.
The History Behind Apple Trafford Center
Initially inaugurated on November 19, 2005, Apple’s presence at the center expanded with an upgrade in location on November 26, 2010. The current Apple Store occupies an intimate first-floor space nestled between popular brands like Victoria’s Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch.
An Important Asset for Manchester Shoppers
The Apple Trafford Center stands as one of Manchester’s two dedicated Apple outlets; the second is located approximately six miles away at Arndale Centre—having opened its doors in late summer of 2006. This position underscores Apple’s commitment to serving customers throughout Greater Manchester effectively.
