“For Apple to debut a zero-bezel OLED phone by 2026, they would need to have finalized technical agreements with local panel makers already; however, conversations remain ongoing,” explained one industry insider. This prolonged dialogue raises uncertainties regarding whether a launch featuring this groundbreaking technology will materialize as anticipated in 2026.
A Revolutionary Screen Design and Technology
There is strong speculation that Apple aims for a bezel-free screen while retaining its current flat and angular design aesthetic for the iPhone. The plan envisions a seamless extension of the screen over both sides of the device akin to how displays wrap around on certain smartwatches.
