IPhone SE 4: The Surprise Contender Set to Break Sales Records!

Anticipation‌ builds around the forthcoming fourth-generation iPhone SE

As the release of the ⁢iPhone SE 4 draws near, analysts are predicting that this⁢ version will outperform its predecessors in sales and could create tension between Apple and Qualcomm.

On ‌Friday, renowned‌ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared ‌insights ‌on X,⁢ suggesting that⁢ the new budget-friendly model may exceed past sales figures. He‍ predicts that Apple could distribute approximately‍ 12 million units during‌ the‌ first⁣ half of 2025⁣ and another 10 million in the latter half. Historically, previous iterations of the⁣ iPhone SE have been estimated ⁢to sell ⁣around ‌20⁣ million units each year;‌ however, Apple does ⁣not disclose specific sales data.

Kuo further notes that such an increase in shipment may help counteract the⁣ typical post-holiday decline ⁣in‍ sales performance. Additionally, it is expected to boost adoption rates for Apple’s artificial ⁢intelligence features since ⁢the upcoming device‍ will be aligned with their range of AI capabilities.

According to projections from ‌Kuo: “The iPhone SE4 is anticipated to ship approximately 12M/10M units across H1/H2⁣ 2025‌ —⁣ a slight increase compared to earlier⁣ models which generally achieved around a total annual‌ distribution of about 20M‌ units following ⁢launch. This trend not only mitigates seasonal shipment drops but also enhances user adoption.” — (Ming-Chi Kuo) (@mingchikuo) February 14, 2025

Given that this generation aims to ‌incorporate Apple’s proprietary modem technology, Kuo speculates that Qualcomm might revisit its modem patent strategies as they look for ways to recover potential losses stemming from decreased⁣ orders.

The official unveiling of the iPhone SE ‍4 appears imminent after‍ speculation suggested a reveal before Valentine’s Day; however, it seems Apple‍ has postponed this date for strategic reasons.

Expectations ⁣remain high for an announcement within weeks. The second-generation model launched back in April 2020 ⁢while its successor was introduced in⁤ March of last year.

Although‍ details regarding features remain speculative ahead of any official confirmation, numerous rumors hint‍ at significant design ⁤elements. The anticipated iPhone SE set for release next year⁢ is likely to showcase ⁢an edge-to-edge display reminiscent‍ of what we see on the⁤ iPhone 14 series and may adopt a single rear camera⁣ with an⁤ upgraded resolution ⁢featuring up into a robust 48 MP quality image ‌capture ⁢capability.
