An Overview of Samsung Wallet
If you’re unfamiliar with Samsung Wallet, it’s an all-in-one platform designed for storing crucial digital items such as identification cards, membership credentials, boarding passes, and even virtual car keys. For instance, travelers can conveniently save their boarding passes from airlines like KLM and Air France directly within the app while also keeping track of their Flying Blue Miles accrued through affiliated programs.
Seamless Car Key Integration
Select automobile manufacturers are embracing technology by allowing users to create digital keys accessible via their smartphones. This functionality is compatible with select models from brands such as BMW, Mini Cooper (2024 models onwards), Volvo, Polestar, Audi, Kia EV9; Hyundai KONA; along with several others. As a result of this innovation users can conveniently share access to their vehicles with family or friends.
The S25 Series Launch Coincides With the Expansion
This introduction coincides strategically with the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series smartphones which require One UI 7—inclusive of features essential for Samsung Wallet. While older devices like the Galaxy S24 will eventually receive this update in due course — currently it remains exclusive to new Galaxy S25 phones commencing Friday.
Integration Of Additional Features Within The App
The recent update not only enhances accessibility across Benelux but also integrates services such as Samsung Pass into the wallet application itself. This integration provides a unified experience for storing sensitive information like passwords securely within one platform.
