Exciting Innovations: Deutsche Telekom’s AI Phone Unveiled at MWC 2025
During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Deutsche Telekom provided further insights into its highly anticipated AI Phone. Following a previous introduction as a concept at last year’s event, the T-Mobile parent company has officially announced that this cutting-edge device will harness the power of Perplexity AI. It is scheduled to be released in the latter part of this year, with an expansion planned for select European markets in 2026.
Revolutionary User Experience with Magenta AI OS
The upcoming AI Phone will operate on a tailored Magenta AI operating system that moves away from conventional app-centered interfaces, opting instead for the intuitive Perplexity Assistant. Users can interact with the phone through various forms of input—whether by voice commands, typed requests, or even utilizing camera functionalities for visual searches.
Enhanced Capabilities through Strategic Partnerships
In addition to relying on the Perplexity Assistant for various functions, Deutsche Telekom has revealed plans to integrate advanced capabilities from several prominent platforms this summer. Notable integrations include Google Cloud AI services, Gemini Multimodal Live API, ElevenLabs voice synthesis technology, and Picsart image editing tools. Furthermore, enhanced features will be incorporated into the MeinMagenta application available via Google Play Store.
