First GTA VI trailer is here, game is arriving in 2025

GTA VI is real, and it is coming in 2025. The long-awaited first trailer of the game was launched a day earlier than previously announced, with Rockstar Games publishing the video on all its social media channels.

The first video of the long-awaited game arrives 10 years after the launch of GTA V and 25 years after Rockstar Games was established. It is set up in modern-day Vice City, and we can see a lot of similarities to real-life Miami Beach and the state of Florida.

Lucia will be one of the main protagonists, and for the first time in GTA history, it will be a female character. She is seen in the video with her partner Jason, whose name is not yet confirmed by Rockstar but has already leaked multiple times in the past.

The video reveals a lot of vehicles seen in Los Santos, clearly stating both games are set in the same universe. Graphics will be nothing like any other Grand Theft Auto game, although we hardly saw any details since half the video is short clips from a TikTok-type social media.

The game will first come to PlayStation 5 and XBOX X|S, revealed Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company in a press release.

We do not have an exact date for 2025, although some rumors suggest an April 1, 2025 date. This might sound like an elaborate April’s Fools joke, but we wouldn’t be surprised, given the tongue-in-cheek humor of Rockstar Games.
