Chinese online collaborative tool developer Fabrie secured tens of millions of yuan in a Series Pre-A+ recently, Chinese media outlet 36Kr reported on Thursday. CDH Investments and Sequoia Capital China led the funding round, with Volcanics Venture and BAI Capital also participating. Volcanics Venture, BAI Capital, and Sequoia Capital China also invested in the firm in March in its Series Pre-A with a funding amount of tens of millions yuan. The 2021-founded startup focuses on a whiteboard platform with sheets and team management features for global designers. Since Figma, the top online design platform internationally, started to bar certain Chinese firms such as drone maker DJI from accessing its services, homegrown Chinese alternatives like Fabrie and MasterGo have looked to capitalize and plug the gap in the market.
