U.S. Department ‍of⁢ Energy Invests in Clean⁤ Energy Career Development

In a significant move today, the U.S. Department of‌ Energy (DOE) announced funding of‌ up ‍to ⁣$300,000 each for seven non-profit organizations through ‌its Clean Energy Careers for All (CEC4A) initiative. ⁣This program was established​ to foster programs that generate interest in clean energy job opportunities among students ⁢from K–12‌ and higher education institutions, as⁢ well as veterans and formerly incarcerated ​individuals.

Diverse Opportunities‌ Across Programs

The funded projects encompass various work-based ‌learning approaches including internships, mentorship schemes, career coaching sessions, educational curriculum design, and initiatives ⁢aimed at career⁣ exploration.

DOEs Susan Hamm stated, “By collaborating with innovative organizations‌ committed to attracting diverse talent into STEM-related‌ fields within energy innovation, we can effectively help build a resilient workforce‌ that supports America’s future​ energy landscape.”
