Exploring Battery Performance and Charging Capabilities of the Oppo Reno13 Pro
Last November, Oppo introduced the Reno13 Pro in China, followed by an international launch in January. We provided an initial overview of this device and are currently preparing a comprehensive review. However, with our tests on battery longevity and charging efficiency now completed, we’re ready to share these insights so you can gauge the Reno13 Pro’s performance without waiting for our detailed evaluation.
Enhanced Power Performance
The heart of the Oppo Reno13 Pro is driven by the Dimensity 8350 chipset and boasts a robust 5,800 mAh battery—an increase of 800 mAh compared to its predecessor, the Reno12 Pro. This enhancement contributes significantly to its Active Use Score; where the Reno12 Pro recorded 14 hours and 54 minutes, the newer model achieved a commendable score of 16 hours and 42 minutes. Further details can be found in our comparison chart below.
Rapid Charging Technology
This model supports rapid charging at 80W but may not include a power adapter across all regions. Interestingly, despite having a larger capacity than its predecessor—which also supports similar fast-charging technology—the Reno12 Pro required approximately 46 minutes for a full charge using an appropriate adapter. In contrast, users reported that the Reno13 Pro charges fully in slightly less time under identical conditions with an 80W charger. Refer to our chart below for more insights into their comparative charging speeds.
Conclusion
The improvements seen in both battery capacity and usage endurance clearly illustrate Oppo’s commitment to enhancing user experience with each iteration of their devices.
