The 3800MHz spectrum public sale will happen on October twenty fourth
The federal government has launched an outline detailing the way it plans on releasing spectrum between 2023 and 2027.
First on its record is the 3800MHz band, with the public sale set to start on October twenty fourth. The federal government introduced plans to repurpose the spectrum for 5G in 2021.
This is the government’s third public sale specializing in 5G, with the 600MHz band auctioned in 2019 and 3500Mhz auctioned in 2021.
According to a July twenty eighth submit detailing candidates, greater than 20 firms have utilized for the public sale, together with Vidéotron, Bragg Communications, and City West. The record additionally contains functions from the Big Three (Rogers, Bell, and Telus).
