At this year’s D.I.C.E. Awards, Astro Bot, developed by Team Asobi, emerged as a standout winner, clinching five prominent accolades including the coveted Game of the Year title.
Sony announced that Astro Bot has achieved impressive sales figures of 1.5 million copies since its launch. In addition to its top honor, the game also garnered awards for Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Technical Achievement, Family Game of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.
Remarks on Independent Success
Independent developer LocalThunk had a night to remember as well; their roguelike deck-building game Balatro secured three significant awards: Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game and Mobile Game of the Year. This title has reached remarkable sales of five million copies.

The grand event took place at the stunning Aria Resort & Casino with numerous prominent figures from across the interactive entertainment industry coming together for this special celebration.
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) hosted these prestigious awards honoring innovators and studios responsible for creating some of gaming’s most compelling titles over the past year. With over 30,000 members serving on voting panels comprised entirely of industry experts, nominees were selected across various categories that highlighted achievements in technology, artistry, storytelling and sound design.
Honors for Helldivers 2
Arrowhead Game Studios received high praise for their work on Helldivers 2 which impressively surpassed twelve million sold copies. The studio walked away with four awards including Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition and Action Game of the Year among others.
A Glimpse into Indiana Jones’ Latest Adventure
The team behind Indiana Jones and The Great Circle also shone at this year’s event collecting three honors such as Outstanding Achievement in Character Development alongside Adventure Game of The Year.
An Artistic Triumph
The award for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction went to Black Myth: Wukong from developer GameScience while Atlus’ Studio Zero won Role-Playing Game of The Year with their title Metaphor: Refantazio.
Acknowledging Industry Pioneers
This memorable evening was not only dedicated to celebrating gameplay but also recognizing two monumental figures within gaming culture. Don James received a Lifetime Achievement Award honoring his impactful legacy within Nintendo America as well as his ongoing work with Starlight Children’s Foundation aimed at supporting children facing health challenges.
Additonally,Ted Price , Insomniac Games’ founder was inducted into Hall Of Fame due to his impressive three-decade career along with tireless advocacy promoting First Amendment rights pertinent to video game developers.

The D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony occurred on February 13th attracting developers and professionals worldwide—available via live stream through media partner IGN featuring return co-hosts Greg Miller from Kinda Funny alongside Stella Chung fostering community spirit amidst thrilling celebrations!
