Understanding‍ how Firmware Updates Work

There isn’t a direct method available for users to perform firmware updates on their MagSafe Chargers. When you connect it to your iPhone, expect that its software will ⁣automatically refresh during idle periods—typically overnight while your device is charging. To verify whether your charger is running on the latest ‌firmware version, attach it to your iPhone and navigate through ⁤Settings >‌ General > About; then select ‌the tab labeled ‘Apple MagSafe Charger’ at ⁢page’s ‍end. If you see a version number that exceeds 128.0, you’re operating with the most current software.
